A popular alternative to plastering

BL Decorators also specialise in ames taping, jointing and drylining.
Ames taping is
a system that was invented in America many years ago by the firm of the same name and is becoming more and more popular as
an alternative to plastering, particularly in new builds. Ames tapers use joint cement which is applied only to the joints
between sheets of plasterboard and to any screw holes, thus resulting in cost savings due to less materials being used. Ames
tape is then used to cover over these joints and screw holes before painting the walls which leaves a seamless finish as far
as the naked eye can see.
Because of the plasterboard joints being so well insulated, this helps to improve the
building's protection from fire and smoke damage too.
BL Decorators ensure
both their domestic and commercial customers of top quality work which will be completed
to your specification with a minimum of fuss. BL
Decorators are able to tape any plasterboard, no matter the shape or size.
